Comments on 2017 FFF

Put next year’s festival dates in your diary now: 14-16 September 2018

One shopkeeper did so well he asked us to do a Food Festival every month, he was less keen to sponsor the Festival.

A big thank you to our sponsors Faversham Town Council, Tesco and Wetherspoons without whose support there could have been no Festival. We have always wanted the Festival to be a community festival and child-friendly – this year with Punch & Judy, a fancy dress parade, a maypole, Red Riding Hood and chickens, Flora the Singleton Giant and the incomparable Devil Stick Peat. Faversham Market, EMU and Faversham Rotary all support and we are grateful for it.

This from Stefano Cuomo of Macknade Fine Foods: “Importantly you have achieved something special in that not only were visitors really enjoying themselves but there was a lot of networking between, chefs, producers, local businesses etc and I know a number of business leads were being discussed which I know is what you wanted to achieve…so much more than just a food market..fantastic showcase or the whole foodie scene in Faversham area.”

This from Katy Cox of Mighty Fine Things: “A quick note to say it was great to see so many stalls and people out on Sunday. I didn’t get a chance to get to everything going on but the feedback has been very positive. Congratulations! Looking forward to next year.”

This from Ann Sutton  independent food blogger “The atmosphere was buzzing today with a really impressive range of stalls, plenty of tastings, food shopping opportunities plus a variety of entertainment.

Sue and Dave Lamberton, Medieval Needles wrote “the FFF was another success; certainly we enjoyed talking to a wide range of people on the Sunday.  There seemed to be an encouraging number of visitors who told us they weren’t local so I surmise they’d made the decision to visit rather than simply ambled up to town!”
